Don’t miss the Wild & Scenic Film Fest

The Mono Lake Committee’s 10th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival is just two weeks away and this year you can attend from anywhere with an internet connection! Get your tickets now and save 20% using discount code MONOLAKE20.

This event is a fundraiser for our beloved Outdoor Education Center (OEC) program which has connected youth, environmental and social justice groups, and other residents of Los Angeles to a source of their water in the Mono Basin for over 25 years. We’re excited to share the films we have selected for this year’s festival, many of which celebrate themes and messages that are often experienced during OEC participants’ weeklong stays in the Mono Basin.

Below are the eight, inspiring short films we’re featuring this year. Learn more about each film on our Wild & Scenic Film Festival event page.

The live festival begins on Thursday, March 11 at 7:00pm Pacific (‘doors’ open at 6:30pm). That evening, participants will have opportunities to chat with Mono Lake Committee staff and get live updates about Mono Lake throughout the event. For anyone unable to make it to the live event, another option is to watch the films online anytime from March 12th to 15th from the comfort of your own home.

Tickets are available online through our virtual partner Qudio and start at just $10 for individuals. All event tickets include entry to a free raffle with prizes from REI, Peak Design, Klean Kanteen, Sierra Nevada Brewery, and more. Funds from each ticket sold go to getting more Los Angeles OEC participants to the shore of Mono Lake.

All film festival tickets include at least one entry into the free raffle, which will be held during intermission.

If you have any questions or if you would like to learn more about special discounted tickets for students, please contact Andrew Youssef, Digital Engagement Coordinator at (760) 647-6595 or send him an email. We hope to see you there and celebrate Mono Lake Committee programs from afar.
