Mono Lake Top Ten for 2008 … #3

3. The launch of the new Mono Lake Website

Developed and powered by Mono Lake Committee staff in Lee Vining, the upgrade of the Mono Lake Website www.monolake.org has been a monumental project. With lots of new and fun features to connect people (like you!) with Mono Lake from wherever they may be, the website is a standing cyberspace invitation to learn more about Mono Lake.

Protection for Mono Lake was won by educating individuals about its plight, and in this day and age, the web is a whole new place to do that. Have a burning question about Mono Lake? Want to see what Mono Lake looks like right this moment? Want to know what Committee staff are working on today? That’s just the start–you can read about all the new features here! And as you explore we also welcome your feedback.

For giving anyone curious about Mono Lake a place to check out out at any given moment, and for giving Mono Lake Committee Members a way to keep in touch with what’s going on at the lake every day, we give the new site at www.monolake.org the number three spot in the Mono Lake Top Ten for 2008.
